Chelsea Loft

This project was a complete renovation of a 4000 square foot loft for a young couple whose renovation budget was less than $75 a square foot. Since the wife was a restaurateur and the husband was a sports addict, the core of the loft became a professional kitchen and game room. Materials in the core were sophisticated and colorful to contrast the perimeter, which was left neutral and unpolished. Large sliding doors with translucent plastic panels separated the rooms from the main open space. Industrial high wattage lighting fixtures and yellow dock lights were used through out to brighten the large space. House Beautiful featured this loft in an article on color.
